Brazil, Chile & Morocco Legalisation

Brazil, Chile and Morocco recently joined the Hague Convention Act, therefore full Embassy Legalisation on documentation is no longer required. Documents destined for these countries only require an Apostille stamp from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, saving considerable time and cost.

For more information on this, please contact our Corporate Legal & Regulatory documentation department on 01784 427750.

Ramadan Closures

The Holy Month of Ramadan will begin on 6th June and is due to end around 6th July.

During this time, the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and many Embassies adopt shorter working hours, which may result in longer processing times for document legalisation and visa applications. In addition to this, at the end of Ramadan the Embassies will be closed for several days. Please take this into consideration when planning document submissions.

Once we have confirmation of Embassy closure dates, we will provide further information.

Legalisation of documents for Turkey

With effect from 18th March 2016, the Turkish Consulate General in London will no longer legalise documents (including Export Registry Forms). An Apostille issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is now sufficient legalisation. Documents will still need to be notarised or stamped by the Chamber of Commerce before being lodged at the Foreign Office. Please contact us if you require further assistance.
